BIG week!

BIG week here in our neck of the woods...or field ;) tomorrow is my ultrasound for baby schreiner baby 4.0, so we will be excited to see if "it" is a he or she! My sister Jessica and her kids (Kirsten, Nicolas, Noah and Cammie) are flying in from France on Wednesday for 3 weeks! Looking forward to lots of time spent with them. Haven't seen them for 2 years, when they got an extended stay, because little Cammie decided to come a early (um, 13 weeks early!) Anyways, SO excited to see her, last time she was like itty, itty bitty. I think since they are flying in so close to my u/s I am going to do a fun little "gender reveal" party with them, normally I wouldn't but in light of the timing/situation, I will! Friday is my grandma's 82nd birthday and party, my aunt Ann will be coming up from KY to celebrate too, its always good to see her! So, those are the goings ons around here. Also our addition (as in home, not baby ;)) is coming along, slowly but surely.

Sunny Days and Baby Steps!

The weather this week has be so nice, I took the kids to the park on Tuesday. Asher and Clara (and myself) were loving the swings and Luke was more interested in collecting branches and sticks that were on the ground and putting them in a pile. Then we went to Great-Grandma Tyree's where Asher got into everything...thankfully he didnt break anything, this time (I need to remember to get her a glass bowl). THEN later that afternoon when Brandan came home he was in the livingroom and Asher took a few steps for him! I thought he was joking at first, but then he did it again for me! Only like 3-4 steps, but still, how fun!

its not letting me add more pictutres :( i'll be back with some more later! (hopefully)

smooth extraction

I had a tooth pulled today...my consequence of not going to the dentist for 9 years. Sorry, but I dont have dental insurance, so I waited until I was in pain, and I waited too long! Thankfully, as far as teeth go, it was the "best" one to lose (farthest molar back on my upper left fise) at least, you can't see it when I smile. I mean, if you could I would have just opted for the root canal/cap. Anyways, I was sad to lose it, but the actual experience went way better than I was expecting!

The Anatomy of a Name

I've been wanting to blog for a while now, but for a while now I haven't been able to come up with a good blog name.boo. (yes, that is what was holding me back, well that and actually sitting down to figure it all out) i didnt just want it to be like: "schreiner family blog" it had to be cool, it had to be catchy! my initial thought was to play off the Shriner Circus thing, but that kind of fizzled...i didnt want it to be too dorky, and i was afraid it was going that route, whatever. It could be "nothings finer than being a schreiner" ha! but that was a little hokey for me. No great song lyrics or Bible verses were coming to mind, and i wanted it to be short and to the point...then i remembered something. A while back either I had called my sister, Carolyn's house, they have caller ID and when it came up on the phone it said SCHREINER BRAND (his name was too long for the phone) they were a little puzzled as to what exactly "Schreiner Brand" was. Once they figured it out we had a good laugh and now my brother-in-law, Dave, started calling us "Schreiner Brand", we are of the Brand "Schreiner" and this our clan ;).

I'm doing it!

ok, i think after all this time, i'm going to launch this bad boy. i really need a place to write down and remember the "everydays" of our life. I really should have started this when Luke was born. He's been asking (daily) to tell me stories of when he was a baby. It makes me sad because I can barely remember! (he's only 3 1/2) so as my memory fails me, I'd like to have something to go back to, to remind me of these days. Poor boy, for him the stories will start around 3.5 (so he should be remembering for himself, right?;)) for Clara-2, and Asher almost 9 months!
SO here's whats up....
